Biography
I joined Murray Edwards in October 2018 as a Supernumerary Fellow. My research interests span work on machine learning for Natural Language Processing (NLP). I have a special interest in applications to biology, medicine and public health. I have been working at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics as Director of Research in Computational Linguistics since 2015 and am currently both a University Lecturer and an EPSRC Experienced Researcher Fellowship. Prior to this I was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge and an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo.
