How to make your donation to the College

Our ambition is to encourage more brilliant young women to join us, offer greater support for them to achieve their highest potential and send them into the world to do extraordinary things. You can help us achieve these goals by making a gift today.

Donations can be made towards any of the College’s areas of support. If you would like to direct your donation towards a specific area that is not listed, please get in touch to discuss this with the Development Team at development@murrayedwards.cam.ac.uk or (+44) 01223 762288.

Donating from the USA

You can make a tax-efficient gift from the United States via Cambridge in America. Cambridge in America is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation (recognised by the US Internal Revenue Service) which funds grants that benefit Cambridge University and its member colleges. Gifts to Cambridge in America qualify for a US income tax deduction.

Donating from Canada

The University of Cambridge can issue donation receipts that are accepted by the Canadian Revenue Agency for tax purposes on behalf of Â鶹ƵµÀ for all donors who are based in Canada. You can make your gift online or by cheque in the usual manner. Once we receive your gift, we will arrange for a receipt to be issued. Donating from Europe

Â鶹ƵµÀ is registered with Transnational Giving Europe (TGE): a partnership of leading European foundations and associations that facilitates tax-efficient cross-border giving within Europe. The Network enables donors, both corporations and individuals, resident in one of the participating countries to provide financial support to non-profit organisations in other member countries. Donors benefit directly from the tax advantages provided for in the legislation of their country of residence.

Other ways to give

There are a number of other options for making a donation to Â鶹ƵµÀ:

Payroll Giving and Matched Giving

Payroll Giving, or Give As You Earn, is an easy and tax-efficient way of giving to your chosen charity directly from your salary. Employees can authorise their employer to deduct donations from their gross pay before calculating Pay As You Earn tax, meaning that the employee will automatically get tax relief on donations at their top rate of tax.

Your employer may also have a Matched Giving Scheme, where an employee’s gifts are matched in full or in part by their employer.

Please contact your HR department to find out if your company operates Payroll Giving and/or a Matched Giving scheme.

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)

You can make your gift in a tax efficient way via the or by sending a completed CAF voucher, made payable to Â鶹ƵµÀ, along with a completed Donation Form to the Development Office, Â鶹ƵµÀ, New Hall, Huntingdon Road, Cambridge CB3 0DF.

Leaving a gift in your Will
